Properties of cement treated sludge and odor control

Abstract:River sludge was solidified with geo-cement for utilization and clarification of the river area. During excavation work of treated sludge, odor control was required. To select the odor control method, laboratory and site investigations were performed. A spray method using ferrous chloride aqueous solution during excavation and on the surface of treated sludge was selected and was found to be effective.
