Fundamental Solutions for a Cylindrically Anisotropic Elastic Medium

Abstract:Basic equations are derived for a cylindrically anisotropic elastic medium of two-dimensional in-plane problems and out-of-plane shear problems, and a general solution for a circular ring with prescribed stress boundary conditions is obtained by the form of Fourier series. Further, a closed-form solution is also derived for a bored medium. Numerical results for stress distribution are also shown.
